After scoring 33 runs in a tight run chase against Canada on Tuesday, Pakistani skipper Babar Azam moved up to take third place in the T20I batting rankings. Mohammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper batsman, fell to fourth.
Returning pacer Mohammad Amir advanced 65 places to 82nd in the bowling rankings, while Naseem Shah advanced 21 places to tie for 43rd.
In addition, Imad Wasim, a left-arm spinner, moved up five spots to take 34th position. In the T20I all-rounder rankings, Imad also moved up one spot to 11th, but Shadab dropped three spots to 14th.
However, Pakistan’s finest bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, who hasn’t been at his best, has fallen to 12th in the ICC rankings.

The top slot in the T20I all-rounders rankings was taken by Afghanistan’s seasoned all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, who scored two wickets against New Zealand, making him the “big winner” in the most recent rankings update, according to the premier cricket body.
“The latest rankings update has revealed that veteran Mohammad Nabi is the big winner. After taking two wickets against New Zealand in Guyana recently, the 39-year-old has risen to the top of the list for all-rounders,” the ICC said in a press statement.
“After the significant shuffle at the top, Nabi climbs two spots to the top of the new T20I rankings for all-rounders, with Australia’s Marcus Stoinis moving up three spots to take second position and former No. 1 player Shakib Al Hasan falling four spots to fifth.
