On Monday, ATC Judge Malik Ijaz heard the former minister’s release request and granted bail in lieu of Shireen Mizari’s personal surety bonds.
It should be noted that Shireen Mizari was connected to fourteen separate vandalism cases involving the events on May 9.
The former federal minister declared that she will completely leave the PTI and politics shortly after the May 9 riots of the previous year.
Shireen Mazari denounced the May 9 riots on May 23, 2023, stating that she had always been against violence.
She gave her decision to leave politics as a result of her health worsening during her 12-day imprisonment following the May 9 riots, in which demonstrators nationwide staged protests after former Prime Minister Imran Khan was taken into custody from the Islamabad court buildings.

Last year, the IHC ordered the removal of her name from the ECL. The court, in its December 2 verdict, said that Mazari was not declared absconder in any case.
The IHC ordered the director general of Immigration and Passports to remove her name from the ECL which imposes travel restrictions on individuals.
