Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong of China and representatives of Pakistan’s embassy in Beijing met the prime minister upon his arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport from Shenzhen.
A high-level delegation led by the foreign minister and deputy prime minister, Ishaq Dar, as well as other cabinet members and senior officials, accompany the prime minister.
The prime minister’s packed schedule in Beijing reflects the strength and scope of relations between China and Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz will meet with Premier Li Qiang, Chairman of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee, and Chinese President Xi Jinping while he is in the country.
Additionally, he will meet with the CEOs of prominent Chinese businesses involved in CPEC projects and attend an event celebrating friendship and business between Pakistan and China.

It’s likely that the two nations will sign several Memorandums of Understanding on cooperation in a range of industries.
PM Shehbaz concluded his first part of the China tour earlier today in Shenzhen, where he held meetings with various Chinese companies and investors in an attempt to attract investment to Pakistan.
Speaking at the Pakistan-China Business Forum in Shenzhen, the prime minister promised to encourage foreign investors with unwavering support and assured the availability of resources.
PM Shehbaz emphasized how crucial it is to strengthen ties between the two countries and promote more investment.
He mentioned the establishment of a business council to facilitate investments in Pakistan and reiterated the government’s commitment to providing necessary facilities to foreign investors and businessmen. Highlighting Pakistan’s abundant resources, the PM underscored the potential for economic growth.
