After winning the toss, India invited Ireland to play, and with just nine runs scored in the third over, Arshdeep Singh struck twice.
After a 19-run partnership between Lorcan Tucker (10) and Harry Tector (4) from 23 balls, the Indian bowlers thoroughly dismantled the Irish batting lineup.
Ireland fell from 27-2 to 50-8 in a flash, losing six wickets in rapid succession.

The final catastrophe was then postponed by Gareth Delany and Josh Little (14), who put up a partnership of 27 off 18.
Little was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah to halt the Irish momentum, and Delany then partnered with Ben White (2*) for a further 19 runs to secure the last wicket.
Ireland’s innings ended in 16 overs when Delany was run out after hitting 26 runs off 14 balls, including two sixes and two fours.
Hardik Pandya took 3-27 for India, while Bumrah and Singh both took two wickets.
