The nominations of the ministries of law, information, finance, and food were first discussed.
On Monday, Maryam Nawaz was elected as the first female chief minister of Punjab, having received more than 220 votes from the provincial legislature.
Because of the boycott, her opponent, Rana Aftab Aftab Ahmad of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), received zero (0) votes.
As the chief minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif was sworn in by Governor Balighur Rehman. When the just sworn-in chief minister arrived at the Punjab CM House, she was greeted with a guard of honour.
