A police spokesman said that the incident happened last night in Basti Bulaili Mouza Jungle Tehsil Jatoi. Samina Bibi, a married woman, was allegedly severely tortured by her in-laws before they poured fuel over her and lit her on fire.
A case has been filed by the police against the woman’s father-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and spouse.
Samina Bibi reportedly had many arguments with her husband during their two years of marriage.
The victim’s relatives accused her in-laws of torturing and killing her by burning.
Dr. Usman Anwar, the Inspector General of Police Punjab, has been made aware of the occurrence and has requested a report from the DG Khan division’s Regional Police Officer (RPO).
He gave the District Police Officer (DPO) Muzaffargarh the order to personally supervise the probe. “Those who lit the woman on fire must be apprehended right away; violence against women is unacceptable. He stressed that police had begun raids in an effort to apprehend the suspects.

Concurrently, Jatoi police filed a case against the defendants with the request of Wajid Iqbal, the woman’s brother.
First reports said that the woman’s husband, Asif, had been taken into custody by the police.
Sajjad Hassan Khan, RPO Dera Ghazi Khan, has noted the incident and requested a report from DPO Muzaffargarh.
With the aid of forensic teams, he oversaw the investigation’s scientific methodology and made sure that all pertinent evidence was gathered.
“We will prioritize taking action to bring justice to the victim’s family,” he promised.
