It is important to note that Sania Mirza was married to Shoaib Malik from 2010 until her father Imran Mirza announced in January of this year that his daughter had requested a divorce from her ex-husband through khula (a Muslim woman’s right to divorce her husband). This came after the actor announced his third marriage to actress Sana Javed.
Izhaan, Malik’s five-year-old son, is Mirza’s child.
Anum Mirza, Sania Mirza’s sister, revealed that Malik’s ex-wife complimented him after he married Sana Javed.
According to her, the couple was separated months before their divorce.
