According to an Indian media outlet, Hydari addressed the criticism Segal has been receiving after acting in the online series, calling it nasty and cruel.
It is abhorrent to disparage someone. I am aware that not everyone like something. One way to put it is this. It can become really cruel. It’s becoming really unfair, and I don’t think it should be happening that way,” the woman stated.
It was the right of the people to be cruel, in the opinion of Aditi Rao Hydari. “If we don’t figure out a way around it, this will be really challenging. I would just tell anyone is dealing with it to “look at the positive,” she continued.

It is pertinent to note here that Segal was dubbed the weakest link in the cast of ‘Heeramandi’ and viewers questioned Bhansali for casting her in a lengthy role, only because of her relation to him.

For the unversed, Sharmin Segal is the niece of the veteran filmmaker, who also assisted him on blockbusters like ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, before making her on-screen debut in his production ‘Malaal’.
Segal previously talked about how she handles online abuse and criticism of her work.
“A lot of pressure is present, and it occasionally shows up in strange ways. However, I have an excellent support network. My sister is perhaps the person that supports me the most. In addition, she served as the show’s associate director. I do have places where I can vent, so it worked out that way,” she remarked.
