Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that no new taxes will be placed on solar panels in an effort to guarantee that all citizens have access to clean solar energy.
The Prime Minister added during the federal cabinet meeting that the government is striving to guarantee that every Pakistani citizen has access to affordable renewable solar energy.

He said that a lot of measures are in place to steer the economy in the right direction and that the nation is quickly approaching economic stability. He also mentioned that the efforts will be concentrated on growing the nation’s small and medium-sized companies in order to increase exports.
The prime minister further stressed that equal development and economic security for all people would be the government’s top priorities, and that the privileges of the wealthy and those who take advantage of the nation’s riches would be eliminated.
The presentation of the National Economic Council’s 2022–2023 annual report in Parliament has been approved by the Federal Cabinet.
It also approved decisions made by the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Cases on June 11, the Cabinet Committee on Public Owned Enterprises on June 20, and the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on June 13.
