The minister claimed that the MQM-P attempted to politicize the Hyderabad cylinder explosion when he spoke to the media outside the Sindh Assembly. “Gone are the days when the city used to be shut down on a call from London,” Sharjeel Inam Memon remarked.

Everyone knows who was involved in extortion, target killing, and sack-packed bodies, he said. “MQM-P members make fiery speeches and then apologize and then apologize,” Sharjeel Inam Memon stated.

The minister claimed that the MQM-P politicized the incident following the Hyderabad cylinder explosion. He went on to say that in order to find out how the injured individuals were doing, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuhu personally visited the hospital.

The MQM-P and Pakis People’s Party (PPP) traded jabs earlier on Wednesday on the ‘increasing’ number of street crimes in Karachi.

During a news conference, Senior Deputy Convener MQM-P Syed Mustafa Kamal said that the recent surge in street crimes was “part of this larger scheme,” which has been hatched for decades to economically exploit Karachi’s inhabitants.

He claimed that 71 young men had died and that the Sindh government has failed to safeguard the lives and property of Karachi residents.

“All individuals involved in crimes have been arrested and released on bail by the courts, and are again committing crimes,” Syed Mustafa Kamal added while quoting the police report.
