Numerous farmers activists have been arrested by the police in a crackdown.
Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman of Jamaat Islami will spearhead the group’s demonstration in front of the CM House in Lahore.
Leader of the JI Liaquat Baloch has stated that the protest will be planned no matter what, and the government should refrain from putting up roadblocks. Additionally, he insisted that the government grant the farmers’ requests.
The party’s Kisan March would start at Masjid-e-Shuhada and go to the chief minister’s residence, according to announcements made earlier by JI Central Punjab chairman Javed Kasuri during a press conference in Mansoor, Lahore.
The JI commander declared, “The march will remain peaceful.” The challenges facing farmers should be handled by the government. It has left the farmers vulnerable to mafias,” he continued.
