According to specifics, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and Malik Tariq Awan, who secured the win from PK-82 (Peshawar), announced the development in Lahore.
Ameer Muqam, the president of the PML-N in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was also present for the event.
Malik Tariq Awan received 20334 votes, enough to win from PK-82 (Peshawar). Kamran Khan Bangash, an independent supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inasf (PTI), received 14030 votes. Six additional independent candidates who won the 2024 general elections stated earlier on February 16 that they would be joining the PML-N.

Upon meeting with PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz, MNA-elect from NA-92 Rasheed Akbar Noorani and five recently elected members of the Punjab Assembly declared their “full confidence” in the party led by Nawaz Sharif.
Irfanullah Khan Niazi from PP-90, Muhammad Amir Inayat from PP-92, Muhammad Akbar Hayat from PP-205, Asghar Hayat from PP-212, and Rana Abdul Manan from PP-272 were among the MPAs-elect who joined the PML-N.
