Fly Jinnah Can Operate in Fog Now, Enhances Aviation Capabilities

News Desk5 months ago

Islamabad: In November 2022 after starting its flight operations, Fly Jinnah has rapidly ascended to become a leading player in Pakistan’s aviation industry. In a significant development, the airline has now obtained clearance from Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to conduct CAT III approaches, arrivals, and departures. This clearance positions Fly Jinnah as the sole domestic carrier in the nation with CAT III certification across its entire fleet and pilot roster.

CAT III certification equips airlines with the ability to operate seamlessly in adverse weather conditions, particularly in scenarios of low visibility such as fog, prevalent between major cities in Pakistan. The Category 3 (CAT III) of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) plays a pivotal role in supporting landing operations in such challenging weather conditions.

The recent approval by the CAA is anticipated to bolster Fly Jinnah’s operational efficiency and safety standards, especially during adverse weather, thereby enhancing the overall passenger experience and reliability.

The airline is gearing up to commence services to various international destinations, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkiye, and the UAE.

Moreover, Fly Jinnah’s exceptional performance has been recognized by the CAA, which ranked the airline at the top of its domestic flight punctuality rankings. With an impressive on-time departure rate of 87.93%, Fly Jinnah outshone its competitors, including Air Sial, Air Blue, and Serene Airlines.

Fly Jinnah’s achievement of CAT III certification marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s aviation landscape, underscoring the airline’s commitment to operational excellence and passenger satisfaction amidst challenging conditions.
