Court’s Decision to Cancel KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur’s Arrest Warrant

The order was given by Judicial Magistrate Naveed Khan, who postponed the case hearing against Gandapur until May 20. Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, had earlier petitioned the Islamabad District and Sessions Court to revoke the non-bailable arrest order in the matter of the long march and vandalism. According to the petition, Ali Amin Gandapur never purposefully skipped court appearances.

The petition has stated that Ali Amin Gandapur never deliberately avoided appearance in the court.

Seeking an unconditional apology from the court, the KP CM pleaded with the court to cancel his non-bailable arrest warrant.

The federal government was previously compelled to furnish information about cases against Ali Amin Gandapur by the Peshawar High Court.
