According to the army’s media wing, the COAS praised ASP Shehrbano for her selfless dedication to duty and professionalism in defusing a difficult situation. COAS recognized the important contribution Pakistani women play in all aspects of life.
“Since independence, Pakistani women have distinguished themselves at home and abroad, by their talent, tenacity, and commitment,” according to a statement released by the ISPR.
The army commander further stated that women are a vital element of Pakistani society, and their respect is ingrained in both our religion and societal ethos. COAS also emphasized the value of social harmony and the necessity for a national agreement on combating bigotry. He emphasized the rule of law and cautioned against taking matters into one’s own hands when legal alternatives for resolving complaints and grievances exist.

Noting that arbitrary acts based on heresy harm society, the COAS emphasized Islam’s timeless message of kindness and benevolence.
