he ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has ushered in a series of disappointments for the Pakistan cricket team, enduring consecutive significant defeats that have triggered a storm of criticism and close scrutiny. Over their last two matches, Pakistan encountered humbling setbacks. India secured a commanding 7-wicket victory, followed by Australia defeating Babar Azam and his team by 62 runs.
Notably, the team’s recent lackluster performance has provoked a candid reaction from Pakistani actress Sehar Shinwari, who took to social media to vent her frustrations.
In a tweet, Shinwari openly declared her intention to lead street protests throughout Pakistan, demanding the immediate resignation of the entire cricket team. She stressed the importance of accountability and the necessity for change within the team following their subpar showing in the tournament.
“We will stage protests on every street in Pakistan until Babar Azam, along with the entire cricket team, steps down,” Shinwari tweeted.
In another social media post, Shinwari accused the Pakistan team of attempting to manipulate their fan base with religious and political rhetoric, shedding light on what she perceived as their inability to deliver strong performances on the field.
“Pakistani cricket team seems to rely on misleading their fans with religious or political statements. Performance appears to be beyond their capabilities,” she added.
