The price of gold per tola increased by Rs600 to Rs241,900 on the local market.
The 10-gram gold saw a 514-rupee gain before being sold for Rs207,390.
Silver prices, meanwhile, stayed steady at Rs 2,750 per tola. The international rate rose $6 during the day and was established at $2,313 per ounce, according to APGJSA.

At just over $2,300 an ounce, spot gold is up almost 12% year to date and only 6% off the record high it reached last month.
