The Punjab and Sindh plains are sweltering, with high temperatures of 45 degrees Celsius recorded in Lahore, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, and Jacobabad.
In the meantime, the temperature in the districts of Multan, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Sargodha, and Qambar Shahdadkot reached 44 degrees Celsius.
The highest recorded temperature was 43°C in Peshawar and 40°C in Islamabad, the federal capital.
The highest temperature ever recorded in Karachi was 34 degrees Celsius.
The Met Office had earlier forecast that the heatwave conditions in Karachi and other coastal districts of Sindh will likely moderate by June 2.
Tuesday saw the hottest temperature ever recorded in Jacobabad, reaching 52 degrees Celsius.

During continuous harsh weather, the highest temperature reached 51 degrees Celsius in Dadu, Larkana, and Mohenjo-daro; 50 degrees Celsius in Sukkur, Nawabshah, and Khairpur; 49 degrees Celsius in Rohri and Padidan; 48 degrees Celsius in Sakrand; 46 degrees Celsius in Hyderabad; and 45 degrees Celsius in Mithi.
