Adolfo Guerrero Gunther, the manager of the Atletico de Madrid Academy, released a statement expressing their excitement about being invited to the PFL launch and returning to Pakistan.
“Pakistan presents a vast array of opportunities, and we aim to investigate various avenues for the development of our Academy programmes,” he continued.
The Pakistan Football League will be launched on June 4, 2024, in a groundbreaking ceremony in Lahore. Subsequently, a number of farewell dinners will be held in each city to celebrate the league’s success with VIPs and celebrities. On June 5, the British Deputy High Commissioner will host a farewell sendoff reception in Karachi.
As part of its planned worldwide expansion plan, Spanish Club Atletico de Madrid also implemented its worldwide Academy Project in Lahore from 2016 to 2020.

The English football star Michael Owen has been named the Pakistan Football League’s (PFL) ambassador. The PFL is scheduled to debut in Lahore on June 4.
Michael Owen, together with a delegation of approximately twenty-five foreign guests, including Redstrike CEO Mike Farnan, SL Benfica’s Davide Gomes and Luis Miguel de Sousa Santos Reis, and well-known football expert Mike Alison, will be the primary guest at the PFL inauguration event.
