Rather than aiming for fifty or a hundred, the young star stated in an interview with a private TV channel that his goal was to win Man of the Match.
“I focus on helping my team win the game, not on numbers.” Saim Ayub continued, “I don’t think about that since I’m focused on winning the match. It may be any figure, 50, 70, or 100.
Ayub is more concerned with helping the team win than he is with considering his own goals.

The Pakistani batter described his “no-look” shot as something he played for the first time in the National T20 in 2022. He made the spontaneous decision after observing the opposition’s field location.
“I had trouble finding ways to score during the game. When I noticed that the fine-leg was up in the circle, I played that shot,” he continued.
It is worth noting that Saim Ayub has faced criticism from a number of quarters for his lack of impact in 19 Twenty20 international matches for Pakistan. His greatest score, with 131.06 strike rate, is 49.
Prior to this, Saim Ayub’s dismal performance in the Ireland series prompted worries from previous Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja.
Speaking at his YouTube channel, the former cricketer questioned the effectiveness of Ayub in the opening spot for the Men in Green as he stressed consistency and reliability at the top of the order.
“I don’t think Saim Ayub gives you security, he shows flashes of brilliance. If you don’t score 50 off 30 balls then breaking Rizwan and Babar’s opening duo doesn’t make any sense,” Raja said.
