1. Oppenheimer

Oppenheimer | New Trailer - YouTube

Based on the book “American Prometheus” by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, “Oppenheimer” is a biographical thriller film written and directed by Christopher Nolan (“The Dark Knight trilogy,” “Inception,” “Interstellar,” “Dunkirk”). With Cillian Murphy in the title character and Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, and Florence Pugh in supporting roles, it defies the conventions of the biopic genre to provide a masterfully multi-layered portrait of a man through all of his amazing achievements and deepest weaknesses.

During the height of the Second World War, theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) is recruited by the United States government to oversee the “Manhattan Project”, a top-secret operation intended to develop the world’s first nuclear weapons. After becoming acquainted with the project’s director Major General Leslie Groves (Matt Damon), Oppenheimer and the General agreed that the best place to carry out such an undertaking is the vast desert of Los Alamos, New Mexico. As numerous other scientists and their families are brought into this discreet location, Oppenheimer works tirelessly around the clock to build this weapon of mass destruction before the Nazis can devise their own.

2. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is the first of a two part movie. This is a brilliantly shot and superbly produced movie. Every scene, every direction, and every frame is painstakingly produced, and it shows. It achieves so in a stylish manner while pushing the limits of animated films. The voice acting is excellent. The film offers something new (difficult to pull off) while honoring and paying respect to Spider-Man tradition. Even the ones with little screen time have a genuine, developed sense of personality.

The film Poor Things is really well-made, has a simple narrative, and superb cinematography, and is a bizarre and captivating experience that truly deserves to win an Oscar! The dark atmosphere reminds one of Terry Gilliam’s work. Yorgos is a master of his profession, utilizing creative color palettes, surgical designs, and thought-provoking, occasionally bizarre speech in all of his films. Willem Dafoe is as brilliant as ever, and Emma Stone is deserving of recognition.

4. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Countdown to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 | Movie Release Date

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” makes that point with great effect. This is mostly due to writer-director James Gunn moving his skills to competitor DC. Marvel’s “GOTG Vol. 3” combines visual excitement, recognizable characters, songs, and silliness with a darker thread that explores Rocket’s origins and promotes animal rights. An amazing deal of heart and humor go into making this a pleasant and exciting space journey, especially in Rocket’s case. One of the most fascinating and memorable aspects of the picture is Rocket’s voyage, which is at the center of the narrative throughout.

Director Chad Stahelski’s unexpected 2014 smash film John Wick was a huge hit. It was somewhat of a comeback for the legendary Keanu Reeves and reinvigorated the action genre. Since then it’s become an action franchise. At number four, things typically get repeated with that many sequels, but this movie is really epic in its innovation and excitement. One of the most surprising aspects of this particular entry is the story being written as well as it is. Something hard to come by in the genre at times. Not saying the others in the franchise weren’t but this is easily the best story diving deeper into the high-table aspects as well as John Wick’s true emotions
