Following Pakistan’s disappointing loss to Australia in a crucial World Cup match, former Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram, known as the ‘Sultan of Swing,’ shared some advice for pacer Haris Rauf in light of his poor performance.
Wasim Akram expressed his views on Haris Rauf’s lackluster bowling display during a local sports show. He emphasized the importance of Haris playing first-class cricket to improve his performance in ODIs.

Akram remarked that if your primary bowler concedes 24 runs in the first over of an ODI game, especially on a flat track in a small ground, it becomes extremely challenging to prevent the opposition from reaching a score of 350 or more.
Haris Rauf set an unwanted record by conceding the fastest fifty runs in the history of the ODI World Cup 2023, allowing 50 runs in just 21 balls. Despite taking 3 wickets, he was also one of the most expensive bowlers, giving up 83 runs in just 8 overs.
