The Turkiye Foreign Minister was greeted warmly at the airport by Additional Foreign Secretary Ambassador Ahmed Naseem Warraich.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and have in-depth talks with Senator Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, during the visit.

The two parties will evaluate the current status of their bilateral ties and the state of the arrangements for future high-level meetings between their nations.
Since Pakistan gained its independence in 1947, Turkiye and Pakistan have maintained close ties based on friendship and brotherhood.
The creation of the High-Level Cooperation Council in 2009, which was subsequently elevated to the status of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), formalized the two nations’ relationship, according to information from the Foreign Ministry’s website.
Along with close military connections and defense sector collaboration, the two enjoy a $1 billion yearly trade volume, which they anticipate reaching $5 billion in the near future.
