Together with Information Minister Azma Bokhari, the minister announced that by the end of this year, Lahore would see the introduction of electric buses, which are a component of the larger plan.
Notably, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has already given her approval to the province’s first public transportation project, which calls for the deployment of 657 environmentally friendly buses on the highways of Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, and other cities.
The province of Punjab’s administration had earlier declared its intention to purchase 300 electric buses for Lahore.
During a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to review the execution of the 33 special projects assigned by the chief minister, senior provincial minister Marriyum Aurangzeb made this statement.
During the meeting, plans to purchase 300 electric buses for Lahore were shared with Punjab’s Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz.

330 electric buses will be introduced in other Punjabi cities besides Lahore. A comprehensive five-hour meeting was held to examine the Special Projects and initiatives of the CM.
