For a very long time, we have been anxiously awaiting official word on Marvel’s Fantastic Four film. But now that the comic book powerhouse has revealed some incredible information about its eagerly awaited movie, the wait is finally over.
First, the most anticipated reveal of all: the official cast of the Fantastic Four film. Marvel revealed that Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), Vanessa Kirby (Napoleon), Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear) have formally committed to playing Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing. Marvel made the announcement on its social media channels, including X/Twitter.

But there’s still more… Additionally, Marvel disclosed that the film will now open in theatres on July 25, 2025. That was the day that Marvel Phase 5 picture Thunderbolts formerly occupied, but with its most recent release postponement, it is certain to move into Marvel Phase 6 instead of that lineup of films and Disney Plus series.
The Fantastic 4 is the new title of the film, which also features a double marketing storyline from Marvel Studios. Firstly, it’s a throwback to the title of the legendary superhero team’s very first comic book, The Fantastic Four #1, published in November 1961. More significantly, though, the moniker The Fantastic 4 sets it apart from the superhero team’s prior big-screen experiences, which were Fantastic Four from 2005 and its 2015 revival named after it.
Finally, Marvel has released the first official artwork for The Fantastic 4 (see the X article above). Together with the aforementioned artwork, the Disney subsidiary unveiled the film’s new title and release date. The supergroup is known for its retro-futuristic aesthetic. The Fantastic Four poster from Marvel also suggests a potential release date.
