PTI Founder Authorizes Candidates for Senate Elections

Details indicate that the names of Murad Saeed, Faisal Javed, Mirza Muhammad Afridi, Irfan Saleem, Khurram Zeeshan, and Azhar Mashwani for the general Senate seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were approved by the imprisoned PTI founder.

The PTI has announced its candidates for the KP Senate technocrat seats, Azam Swati and Irshad Hussain, and the Senate reserved seats, Ayesha Banu and Rubina Naz.

Imran Khan, the founder of the PTI, gave his approval to Zulfi Bukhari and Hamid Khan from Punjab to run for general seats. Sanam Javed and Dr. Yasmin Rashid, the president of PTI Lahore, will represent the party in the technocrat and women’s reserved seats from Punjab, respectively.

On April 2, there will be Senate elections for 48 open seats in the National Assembly, the Senate, and the four provincial assemblies.

As per the timetable, applicants have till Saturday (today) to submit their nomination papers.

The date set for reviewing the nomination materials is March 19. On March 26, a revised list of candidates will be released, and by March 27, candidates may withdraw their candidacy papers.
