Pakistan U19 continues their dominance with a resounding 10-wicket victory over New Zealand U19 in the final group match of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2024 in East London, South Africa.
Chasing a target of 141 runs, the Green Shirts achieved a flawless victory in just 25.2 overs without losing a wicket. Opening batsmen Shahzaib Khan and Shamyl Hussain forged an unbeaten partnership of 144 runs, with Shahzaib contributing 80 runs and Shamyl adding 54 runs to the total.
In the initial phase, New Zealand U19 won the toss and opted to bat, facing a challenging situation as Pakistan showcased an exceptional bowling performance. Ubaid Shah, the brother of Naseem Shah, and Arfat Minhas emerged as standout bowlers, both securing 3 wickets each. Their contributions played a pivotal role in limiting the opponents to a total of 140 runs.
