Multan Sultans’ Star Pacer Ruled Out of PSL 9

With just five days until the start of the highly anticipated ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the Multan Sultans franchise has been dealt another setback as their star fast bowler Ihsanullah has been ruled out of the upcoming season due to injury, as confirmed by the team owner, Ali Tareen.

Earlier today, the franchise suffered a blow when English pacer Reece Topley was also ruled out of PSL 9 after failing to secure a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

It’s worth noting that Ihsanullah emerged as the second-highest wicket-taker in PSL 8, with an impressive tally of 22 wickets in 12 innings. However, post-tournament, the 21-year-old began experiencing discomfort in his elbow, leading to surgical intervention under the PCB’s supervision.

The matches for PSL 9 are scheduled to take place across four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, with the final match set to be held at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18.

The Sultans will commence their campaign at home against the Karachi Kings on February 18th, with five matches scheduled to be played at their home ground.
