Speaking to the media on Sunday during the youth’s funeral prayers who had been murdered by street criminals the previous day, the JI Karachi called on the Sindh government to intervene in light of the city’s deteriorating law and order situation.
The head of JI Karachi claims that in the previous five months, criminals had killed up to 80 civilians.

Munim Zafar said that no place in the province was safe as citizens in metropolis and riverine areas continue to suffer due to the rising crime rate.
He was at the funeral prayers of Itiqa, who was shot dead by robbers for resisting in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi.
After buying goods from a nearby bakery, the 27-year-old chemical engineer was riding his motorcycle back home when two burglars tried to take his possessions.
Police said that Itiqa was shot by the thieves when he refused to comply with their attempt to rob him.
After being taken to the hospital, the victim passed away while receiving care.
According to a police report, the victim’s motorcycle and cash were taken by the criminals.
It is pertinent to mention here that the killings in robberies have recorded a sharp increase in 2024 with a total of 56 killings and injuries to over 200 citizens so far.
