The visiting team is confident and would want to win the remaining games leading up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, the express pacer said during a press conference held here on Monday.

“Yes, we did drop a game, but we are a very confident team and will look to win the remaining games leading up to the World Cup.”

We practiced well as a team today and have played a lot of games together in the past.

“Obviously, losing a game is disappointing, but as a club, we have proven time and time again that we are capable of defeating any opposition.

“You grow from your mistakes and strive not to repeat them.”

Haris Rauf went on to discuss the challenges he encountered while recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9.

“Your career is supported by your family forever. It’s not easy to make a comeback, but if one has proven themselves in the past, the squad can easily pick them again, according to Haris.

“When a player gets hurt and returns for the game, it’s difficult for him. It’s difficult since you’re having a lot of difficulty at the moment. Since speed is essential for express bowlers, it can be challenging to return to the same length and tempo following an injury. Every athlete finds it difficult, but having confidence in oneself helps the process along,” he continued.

Notably, following their victory over Pakistan in the second game played in Birmingham, England now leads the four-match Twenty20 International series 1-0. Meanwhile, the continuous rain in Leeds forced the cancellation of the opening game.

The last game of the series will be played on May 30 at the Oval in London. Following that, the Pakistani team will fly out to the USA on June 1 to compete in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

Since the finalists of the previous edition will not be participating in the warm-up matches for this year’s main event, the continuing series will act as a prelude for both teams before the T20 World Cup 2024.
