Devastating Rainfall Hits Gwadar

Due to the heavy rain in the area, the private schools in the area declared today off. The local rivers flooded as a result of the rains and thunderstorms. A bridge washed away by the Naheng River’s surge following intense flooding brought on by a lot of rain.

In the Makran province of Balochistan, the route from Turbat to Mand was closed by unusually high rain in the Kech district. In Panjgur, Gwadar, Awaran, Khuzdar, Kalat, Turbat, Kech, and Quetta, the Met Office has predicted probable rains along with wind and thunderstorms; in Ziarat, Chaman, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, and other regions, there will be snowfall over the hills.

The Met Office had previously warned that on February 26, a westerly wave is predicted to arrive in Balochistan and perhaps saturate the upper regions of the nation. Chaghi, Noushki, Kharan, Panjgur, Gwadar, Awaran, Khuzdar, Kalat, Lasbella, Sibbi, Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musakhel, and Kohlu are all expected to experience rain-wind/thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) under the influence of this weather system.
