Nonetheless, Karachi’s heatwave passed as the port city’s temperature fell. The highest temperature ever recorded in Jacobabad, Dadu, Sibi, Turbat, Faisalabad, Multan, and D.G. Khan was 45 degrees Celsius. In Lahore, Bahawalpur, and Larkana, the temperature can reach 44°C, while in Rahim Yar Khan, Bannu, and Sukkur, it can reach 43°C. Furthermore, Karachi’s high temperature held steady at 33 degrees Celsius as the Met Office said that the heatwave had abated in the port city and that partly overcast weather had returned.

The Met Office has also predicted thunderstorms and showers for Lahore the following week. According to the Met Office’s forecast from last Wednesday, the heatwave conditions in Karachi and other parts of Sindh would continue till June 1. Last Tuesday saw the hottest temperature ever recorded in Jacobabad, reaching 52 degrees Celsius.
