Pakistan’s 2024 general elections concluded last week with some of the most contentious outcomes in recent memory. Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), running with independent candidates, emerged victorious in many regions nationwide.
However, the election landscape underwent a dramatic shift overnight, leading experts to label these elections as among the least credible in Pakistan’s 76-year history.
